![]() Twenty-five years ago, HKS pioneered the automotive aftermarket performance industry in Japan. Despite a somewhat tumultuous beginning they were able to overcome many obstacles and meet continuous challenges in technology by taking a different approach from that of their competitors and the OE manufacturers. HKS continues to be the leader in performance with parts like the fuel computers VPC, PFC F-CON & S-AFR, SSQV blow off valve, Turbo Timer V, and the SMF air filter systems The new EVC IV SI continues to represent the state-of-the art in electronic boost controls, with the most sophisticated microprocessor and adjustment valve available. The EVC IV SI provides immediate push button selection of preset levels of boost pressure, plus a return to actuator controlled boost by switching the unit off. All boost selections and adjustments are accessible form the cockpit of the vehicle, which gives the driver the ability to change boost pressures "on the fly." Aided by "fuzzy logic," the EVC IV SI also has the ability to learn your vehicles boost curve to reduce as much turbo lag as possible without over-boosting. ![]()
The HKS Hiper Damper suspension focuses on providing custom tailored handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. The Hiper Damper offers both ride height and shock dampening adjustments. Ride height is easily adjusted by a threaded 60mm spring retainer and lock nut that rotates around the shocks cylinder body. Shock dampening is adjustable from firm to hard at 10 different increments. This adjustment affects both shock compression and rebound stiffness. Some applications offer camber adjustments.
![]() In a vehicle's suspension, the upper mounts connect the strut or shock assembly to the vehicles body. Most factory mounts are constructed from soft rubber or plastic and are designed with ride comfort as a priority. Under spirited driving conditions, the factory mounts can flex and distort, hindering the performance of the shock absorber or strut. This may cause the vehicle to lose traction and steering response. The HKS Pillowball Upper Mounts are constructed of the highest quality aluminum and steel for maximum strength and are engineered to enhance the ability of your high performance suspension. All HKS suspension components are designed to stand up to even the most severe road and/or track conditions. Some applications have adjustable camber plates built into the Pillowball Mounts to assist with fine-tuning of the suspension.
The PFC F-CON is a plug-in fuel computer designed to supplement and refine the OE specified fuel curve. The F-CON performs its function by modifying the factory specific injector pulse width based on information obtained from the OE ECU and the absolute pressure transducer included with the F-CON. This information is compiled by the F-CON and the resulting signal can allow for a longer pulse width for factory injectors or it can take advantage of larger injectors to ensure proper air/fuel ratios during high air flow conditions. HKS includes with each appropriate F-CON kit a device known as a Fuel Cut Defencer (FCD). Several types of FCDs are made to raise the fuel cutoff point. This additional component allows the PFC to be effective at boost levels that would normally shut down the factory fuel system. The FCD, except in the case of Toyota's newer engines, should not be used without an F-CON or some type of supplemental fuel system because the FCD will adversely alter fuel delivery without the addition of supplemental systems. The F-CON is installed by simply plugging in the supplied factory quality wiring harness, mounting and plugging the pressure sensor, and plugging the FCD where applicable. The installation of the F-CON provides the owner the opportunity to return the vehicle to stock conditions by simply removing the unit and harness. While the F-CON is preprogrammed with a ROM for each application, there is a built-in adjustability switch accessible from within the F-CON to compensate for alterations to the HKS staged upgrades. Additional tuning for the F-CON can be performed by using the the Graphic Control Computer (GCC). The GCC is an additional electronic tuning component designed to add flexibility to the VPC or PFC F-CON. Five points of adjustments allow up to 16% rich or down to 12% lean. Four different RPM ranges allow for maximum flexibility.

![]() HKS Super Mega Flow systems have been engineered to dramatically reduce inlet restrictions posed by today's sealed factory airboxes. The Super Mega Flow represents the ultimate in filtered air flow. The SMF incorporates a fully radiused air horn for maximum intake efficiency, as well as high flow replaceable foam filter element. Replaceable filters are available in a wide variety of colors for that custom engine bay look. Cages and bolts are also replaceable and available in silver and gold. See our Vehicles page for a listing for your car.
The Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve (SSQV) is a pull type relief valve. This means that pressure forces the valve shut unlike most valves which are pushed open slightly under boost. The SSQV is actuated by pressure alterations only, ensuring quick valve response and complete closure during idle. Typical blow-off valves utilize large valves in order to accommodate high boost/high hp applications. However, these large valves react slowly and require high activation pressure to open. Smaller, fast reacting valves, do not permit the air flow required for high horsepower. The SSQV incorporates both for maximum performance. It is engineered utiliizing a small primary valve and a secondary valve for additional relief capacity. The SSQV is made of billet aluminum and emits a unique aggressive sound.

The Twin Power Ignition Amplifier is engineered to produce a hotter and more efficient spark needed for high performance applications. The Twin Power continuously monitors the coil to allow the ignition system to reach maximum capacity without overcharging. The Twin Power also provides optimum spark duration and voltage output. The Twin Power combines a Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) and a Transistor Ignition into one package. While the CDI is effective at producing high voltage, it can only do so for a short period of time. The Transistor Ignition controls current to the coil via an impedance matching circuit, to produce a longer spark duration. This powerful combination creates greater horsepower at higher RPM levels and increased throttle response at lower RPM levels.
The HKS VPC is designed to physically and electronically replace the OE air mass sensor which presents a significant restriction to the intake system at higher boost levels. The stock sensor offers no adjustment or reprogramming options to take advantage of dramatically higher air flow or larger fuel injectors. The VPC converts the air mass system to what is referred to as a "speed density" system by utilizing a 16 bit central processing unit reading its own intake air temperature sensor and absolute pressure transducer. This unique feature not only allows the VPC to replace the factory air mass sensor assembly, but also raises the fuel-cut limit. The VPC also allows driver adjustability of throttle response, idle mixture, and the entire fuel curve. Another benefit is the ability to create custom chips to take advantage of higher capacity injectors, fuel pumps, or turbos. Additional tuning for the VPC can be performed by using the the Graphic Control Computer (GCC). The GCC is an additional electronic tuning component designed to add flexibility to the VPC or PFC F-CON. Five points of adjustments allow up to 16% rich or down to 12% lean. Four different RPM ranges allow for maximum flexibility.
